The Travika Team
Ian Quartermaine is the founder and CEO of Travika (formerly TravelPie) which was established in 2000. Ian is primarily responsible for all business development and has secured and managed client relationships in air, cruise and hospitality segments. Ian has been involved in the travel industry for over 20 years, and was instrumental in the international growth of HelmsBriscoe and more recently HPN Global.
Previous to forming Travika, Ian was VP International Sales for the airline division of GetThere.com. He was also VP Americas for Air New Zealand and Ansett and has held senior management positions with British Airways and Discover the World Marketing. He is a native of the UK and a fellow of the UK charted Institute of Management and past President of the Arizona chapter of the British American Business council. He has lived and worked in the UK, Middle East and Canada as well as USA. He is based in Scottsdale, Arizona, USA.
RITA MOSER – Regional Director
Rita has a rich history of successfully representing many companies in the travel, tourism and transport industries including airlines, hotels, cruise lines, car rentals, government tourism offices, destination marketing organizations (DMOs) and private sector companies.
Formerly a director and owner of Discover the World Marketing in Germany, she has extensive experience in designing, organizing and running sales promotion campaigns, sales and marketing, trade seminars and press conferences as well as road and trade shows for leisure and corporate clients. She was awarded 10 international Discover the World Marketing sales awards over eight years and has a consistent record of increasing sales revenues for clients. Her clients included: US Airways, Canadian Airlines, Puerto Rico Tourism and Macau Tourism.
Rita has been based in Vancouver, Canada since 2000 and oversees Travika’s network of GSAs in Mexico, Latin America and Europe.
CHRIS BRIDGES – CFO
Chris has a broad base of experience in the areas of accounting, finance and business consulting, including stints with Barry and Moore, UBS and most recently as Chief Financial Officer at the Arizona based Big Sky Group.
A Certified Public Accountant in the US since 1992, he has provided guidance to businesses in a variety of industries and stages of development. Chris also brings a strong operational and financial skill set to support the business in contract negations, business valuations, joint-venture development, business management and financial planning.
JIM BEVERIDGE – CTO
Jim is a well-known and acknowledged expert in the fields of object-oriented design, Windows development and software architecture. As well as being the creator and principal architect of the Connected Software family of products, he is also a popular speaker at software industry conferences and the author of the widely acclaimed book, Multithreading Applications in Win32.
In addition to his credentials as a software architect, Jim also has extensive experience in code standards and analysis, quality assurance methodologies, and on-time project management techniques. He holds a B.S. degree in Computer Science from Rochester Institute of Technology.
SHAWN MASSIE – Social Marketing Expert
Shawn specializes in connecting with Travika’s clients and cultivating new business through the use of social media, online marketing and search engine optimization. He has a broad range of web development and design skills having created multiple websites and blogs. With a B.S degree in Management from Arizona State University, Shawn continues to drive Travika’s presence online.
LYNN QUARTERMAINE – Administrative Director
Lynn Quartermaine has spent most of her 34 year career in education and training. She brings hands on international experience including working in the Middle East, Europe and the USA.
Lynn has educated and trained a broad range of ages from Kindergarten through adult. She has worked with a number of educational and government authorities including International schools, The British Council and various Adult Education Associations. She also served as full time Advisor to the Cambridge Education Authority in the UK and Head of Department for a large Senior School.
Four years ago Lynn moved into the international business world, in the administrative arena, where she particularly enjoys interaction with different communities and cultures throughout the world.
